The Steel Station [May / 2026]
Logo design for a British, family-run business creating handcrafted garden sculptures from reclaimed metal. Each piece is handmade in Northamptonshire, combining traditional craft with playful animal and bird designs.

The brief was to create a recognisable identity that reflects the brand’s craftsmanship, creativity, British heritage and warm, independent character.

A logo design project for a British family-run business creating handmade garden sculptures from reclaimed metal. The owner wanted the wren, one of their best-known sculptures, to become the main symbol of the brand and create an identity that felt proudly British and family-friendly.

I took inspiration from traditional steel maker’s stamps, reflecting the care, durability and hands-on process behind each piece.
The colour palette draws from the garden and the materials they work with: grass, rust, steel, earth and blue sky.

The final identity combines British heritage with something warm, playful and approachable.

Multidisciplinary Designer specialising in branding + identity

My name is Masha (a Russian nickname for Mariia). I’m a UK-based designer with a love for branding and thoughtful illustration. I enjoy meeting people, learning what inspires them, and helping bring their ideas to life through clear, considered visual design. I work across a range of media, from print and digital to motion and simple interactive design, always tailoring my approach to the project and the people behind it.

If you have an idea you’d like to bring to life and aren’t quite sure where to start, I’d love to hear from you :)
